About Us – Helping Hands Care, Exmouth and East Devon
All about us
Helping Hands is a family business, started in 1986, and is committed to providing services of the highest quality. This commitment has not changed over time. Great emphasis is placed on providing the right service for each person, our teams are dedicated to supporting people in their local community.
From those very small beginnings, Helping Hands has flourished to the professional organisation it is today. We have 150 care staff working in their local communities throughout East Devon supported by a professional management team. All workers are directly employed by Helping Hands, we have a rigorous recruitment procedure to make sure that we only employ people who are caring and have the right qualities to work with people in their own homes. The training programme is extensive leading to nationally recognized qualifications.
The business is locally based and not part of a national organisation. Helping Hands is registered with the Care Quality Commission and is a member of the United Kingdom Homecare Association.
Our Exmouth office is run by Registered Manager, Helliena who has been with the company for just over a year, following a career change.
Prior to that Helliena was a Community Carer with helping Hands for 6 years.
Helliena says, about Helping Hands:
“The best thing is the support, the dedication across the team and the higher management, there is a clear team working ethic across the board.“
